Astec IT | We have been granted the latest ISO Accreditation

Astec IT founder Addy Desai has been busy the last few weeks completing Astec IT’s documentation for the latest ISO 27001 accreditation. Astec IT has now been granted this important industry accreditation and it will help us to develop further as a company.

ISO 27001 is important to Astec IT for numerous reasons. The accreditation shows that as a company we can protect our own information from unauthorised access; it ensures that our information is accurate and can only be used by authorised individuals; Astec IT has procedures in place in case there is a breach of company info; that we have been independently assessed to an exacting international standard, based on industry best practices.

We have developed our own processes and workflows to ensure Astec IT can perform efficiently and to optimum capacity. This also transfers into optimal performance and service provision for our clients. By gaining ISO 27001 accreditation it validates our processes and the way we work as an organisation.

It demonstrates that we know our own business inside out, and that of our clients too, that we have identified potential risks, assessed all implications and have systemised controls in place to limit any damage to us or our clients.

This is very important to Astec IT, and any business should expect this of their suppliers, and service providers. Our recent accreditation ensures that our clients will experience improved confidence in Astec IT as a business partner, and that Astec IT has increased business resilience.

Astec IT is now ISO 27001 Certified by the British Assessment Bureau

This is crucial to all businesses in the current post lock down environment. The last thing an organisation wants, is to be left high and dry, because a small service provider has not invested in itself enough to ensure the highest levels of service provision and data security.

Astec IT has clients in several sectors including financial investment, legal, retail and media. Our ISO 27001 accreditation shows that we can align our processes and services with their exact requirements, monitor all system activity, and log user activity. We also keep our IT systems (and those of our clients) up to date with the latest protections.

We feel that our clients need this from us as a minimum requirement, as it proves that we care for our own business as much as our service provision to them. We ‘walk the walk and talk the talk’, and hence why we have become the preferred supplier for several high-profile clients.

If your organisation is looking to review IT Support services, it would be good to ensure that your current service provider has an ISO accreditation. You would not eat a meal at a restaurant that fails basic hygiene regulations, so why should IT support provision be any different?

Ask your current provider what they have in place, and if you feel even slightly uncomfortable with the response, do get in contact with us, and we will be happy to detail how Astec IT works as a company, as individuals, and how we can ensure high levels of service – backed up by our own processes that have passed high and exacting international standards.
