2020 has been a challenging year for most businesses, as well as for all of us at Astec IT. With multiple lockdowns spread throughout the year and the move from an office-based to a working-from-home culture, the IT requirements of many businesses have suddenly changed.
We are happy to say that we have been able to complete all the requirements of our clients, escalate needs immediately as well as relieve businesses that were under pressure due to the lockdowns. Astec IT has worked tirelessly throughout 2020 to ensure all of our clients are able to work as effectively as possible, given the restrictions posed by the pandemic.
We have supported clients by reviewing their IT systems and work processes as well as implementing changes, to ensure they can work stress-free throughout lockdown. Astec IT has been busy setting up IT infrastructure and cloud services, to enable hassle-free collaborative working, increase online security, reduce company downtime, to help clients remain profitable.
Astec IT has a 100% client retention rate, which we have maintained since we were founded in 2017. We have added to our client portfolio as a result of the challenges of 2020. Additionally, as we are a fully remote business, our employees have not been affected by a sudden move to remote work. Instead, we were able to incorporate our personal experiences of working from home, into our advice for companies that had to rearrange their company set-up.
Lastly, another achievement that took place in 2020 was Astec IT receiving the latest ISO 27001 full accreditation. We have developed our own processes and workflows to ensure Astec IT can perform efficiently and to optimum capacity. This also transfers into optimal performance and service provision for our clients.
The ISO 27001 accreditation demonstrates that we know our own business as well as our client inside out. It validates our processes and the way we work as an organisation. Additionally, it showcases that we have identified potential risks, assessed all implications, and have systemised controls in place to limit any damage to us or our clients.
All in all, while 2020 was a difficult year for all kinds of businesses, we are proud to say that we have been able to address and fulfil all our customer’s needs and requirements as well as improve as a business.
