Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Teams Is Introducing A Timely New Feature

Microsoft Teams is rolling out a great new feature that is going to tackle one of the most frustrating issues users face with competitors such as Zoom and Google Meet.

Microsoft Teams

Due to their new features Microsoft Teams could be the new preferred option over alternatives such as Zoom and Google Meet. This year, many people around the world had to adjust to the new reality of working from home and holding web conferences through services such as Microsoft Teams. While Zoom was the initial go-to-choice for people during the beginning of the pandemic, both Google Meet and Microsoft teams have gained popularity over the last couple of months.

Zoom and Google Meet, however, have limits on how long a meeting can take part – with Google Meet being capped at 60 minutes and Zoom having a limit of 40 minutes. Microsoft Teams, on the other hand, has announced the new feature of users being able to stay connected for 24 hours. This move came just ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday season, making it possible for families all over the world to celebrate together. Similarly, this feature will provide many families with the option of spending virtual time together during the upcoming Christmas holidays.

Astec IT is a strong advocate for Microsoft 365. It can help your business reduce downtime and make collaborative work significantly easier. Outlook, Microsoft SharePoint, and One Drive as well as Microsoft Teams are all interconnected, making long-distance teamwork easier than ever.

A large part of this year’s business needs consisted of the move from office-based work to a working-from-home set-up. As part of that, Astec IT helped businesses move their data hierarchy from a physical system to a cloud-based system. The migration of information to a cloud-based system, such as Microsoft 365, can help businesses improve the long-distance collaboration of teams by enabling live changes within Office, offering the option to store documents on devices or in the cloud through One Drive, and making worldwide calls easier through Teams. Additionally, by incorporating Microsoft 365 into company’s everyday tasks, Astec IT helped streamlining businesses.
